Press begins to champion our cause

First a call from the BBC, and last night an hour interview with the Waterbury Times. The Joint Council has written a strong letter to the Dept. of State with the support of over 50 members of Congress and the Senate with a deadline of 10 days for the exodus of our children. A few of the children have come home they have been highlighted on the news, but they got out because their parents or agency secured passage on a private plane. This really isn't the best way to proceed because extra planes are clogging up the relief effort . As days pass and conditions continue to deteriorate, the Haitian waiting families are becoming desperate and are beginning to plan rescue missions on their own which are dangerous, since there are no commercial flights. WE beg the individual task forces to begin to play nice with one another and begin the immediate evacuation of our children.
