The Big Day has arrived

For me the happiest days in my life was when I learned I was matched with my children. After all the paperwork, this was it, they were no longer a dream, but a face that I could pray for and stare at. I was very happy when they were placed in my arms, but getting that photo, really made it REAL. Today, was a close second. After 7 months of phone calls and paper work, Aliette's adoption is FINALIZED. She assumes my name and has found her forever family. Aliette's adoption has been far from typical and normal, everything has been unique, needing special attention, which I guess makes it that much sweeter.

Aliette's earlier arrival really took me my surprise, but I kept putting one foot in front of the other and held the course. In an email to a friend I was explaining how her health problems, have kept running from one doctor to the next, but it has been a blessing. We've had the time to bond and I've removed everything from my plate that isn't critical. I've had time to play hopscotch, finger paint, and roll down hills. I have never been happier in my life.

Olivia was very excited about going to see the judge. She is just beginning to ask questions about her adoption and can begin to explain to others what this is all about. She will be with me for 4 years on September 18! Guess where she wants to go for her special dinner? McDonald's of course. I'm pushing for Chinese, but I don't think my vote counts. My entire family gathered at Friendly's to celebrate tonight. God is so Good. Tonight the angels are shouting or joy and dancing. I feel so blessed to be the mother of two of God's children. Enjoy the photos.
