Happy 4th of July! As I wait for the burgers and dogs to finish cooking, I thought I'd post some pictures. Olivia had her gymnastics and dance recital in June, plus she turned 6! We went to Chuck E. Cheese and she had an awesome time. Aliette continues to thrive in the home daycare and her speech is coming along. Favorite pasttime is using the potty. Olivia is in art camp this summer while I teach. Anyone need a sculture or pot holder, just let me know. We went to the circus and swim most days at my parents. I'm hoping to get to both PA and VA this summer, but it isn't easy mobilizing a family of three.

Finally Spring: Daffadil Festival

We miss you Nae Nae, my photos weren't like yours but I tried. Here are a few photos from our wonderful outing. Olivia went on rides, Aliette soaked up the sun and enjoyed every minute of her first snow cone. Aliette is doing great at her new daycare. She is having surgery on 18th. Hoping she will continue to stay well. Olivia is getting ready for her dance and gymnastics recitals. I'm looking forward to summer school and lounging by the pool.

South School Scholar
Olivia has loved every minute of kindergarten. Like many of her classmates her favorite part of her day is music and pe, but she has learned to read and write really well. I'm so proud of her. She entered the science fair and won a metal. Grandpa stopped by to say hello. Olivia was also chosen to welcome the parents to the Kindergarten concert. She memorized her lines. Such an amazing child. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Where has time gone?
I can't believe it has been almost two months since my last post. I wish I could say we had a spectular 1st Christmas together as a family of three, but it was clouded by sickness. This time, it wasn't Aliette but Olivia. She slept her vacation away, poor child, but Santa came through with a panda pillow pet and many more goodies to keep her busy. The winter can only be described in these words: Cold and MISERABLE. Snow and ice have plague our area and we are all longing for spring. We had so much snow, the kids couldn't play safely in it because it was way to deep and icy. We are pretty fortunate, we didn't lose winter or spring break, but many area schools did. It has been a tough winter on Aliette, but we are managing her asthma the best we can and are waiting until early summer to put the tubes back in. Today is Valentine's Day and as a special treat the girls and I are going out for Pizza after gymnastics. I have a new computer class where blogging is part of the class, so I'm hoping to have more postings in the fuure. Enjoy the photos.

A Day to Remember
Sorry, Grandma we didn't get any photos with you boo, hoo. Thank you for coming. Olivia loved everything about NYC. She enjoyed riding on the train and taxi. She explored the 3 floors of the American girl and thought getting her picture taken with IVY in the studio was the best. I'll scan that picture tomorrow. I only have the 5x7 with me. Olivia and Ivy were dressed for Christmas and the other shoppers were impressed. We enjoyed our three course lunch at the cafe. I would recommend it for any young girl. We visited Rockefeller Center, the M&M store, and Lego store. The temperatures were around 25 degrees, but the wind chill made it way cold. Olivia and I were battling a stomach bug, so we decided to head home around 3:30pm, but we had a full day of fun! This was one of those days I hope she will remember forever. Thanks again for going with us Mom. Your presence really made it special.
